Aw, man... The boss sent me on a week-long shipping trip to Fahr Outpost, and I ended up missing the big Halloween bash. :( I know I shouldn't complain since I still have a job, considering how bad the postal service has been doing lately. ...still feel cheated...

((That's my in-universe excuse. The real reason? The friggin day before the event, I left my computer at my sister's house and couldn't get it back for a whole week! There, that's why. I'm not lazy, people, I just couldn't get on.))

The postal service is doing bad, guys. :worry: Boss doesn't talk about it much, but we can all tell what's happening. Since people aren't using the postal service anymore, we're running really low on money. I mean, practically all our income is from stamps! If we don't get permission from the royal court to make some serious changes, we may face lots of lay-offs... Maybe even... [gulp] the closure of the whole postal system... :fear:
Even if we do get permission to make those changes, there could still be some lay-offs. What if I have to be laid off...?

He walked about for a bit before he noticed the other and started jogging up to him. "Um.. you're the postman Parakarry, right?" Of course he probably was what with that easily recognizable mismatching cyan shell with brown shoes and that hat paired with the obvious wings. Better to be safe than sorry.
Parakarry turned when he heard the koopa in the blue hoodie approaching. "Hello!" he said with a smile and a little salute. "Yep, the name's Parakarry. What's yours?"
He stared there and could've sworn he rose an eyebrow or two at the little salute in bemusement wondering whether or not he should do the same in return but opted out for an alternative by raising out a somewhat unsteady hand. "It's, um, Koops. Yeah, that's my name." He was caught off-guard when he was asked his name as what was most likely hinted while he stood there with his mouth hung open and his stare whirling around as he tried to figure out what he was about to ask. "Oh! Yeah.. uh, you're one of the folks who hung out with Mario, right? Have you possibly, maybe heard from him in a while?" he didn't seem too sure if he wanted to add anything else onto the end but kept the sentence cut right there.
"Nice to meetcha, Koops!" grinned the postman as he grasp his hand in his own and shook it.
In response to the question regarding Mario, he merely shrugged, remarking, "Ah, not in a more personal level really... I just see him once and while when I'm delivering his letters or when he comes to the post office to pick up a package..."
